Our Media CENTER

Our MEDIA Center & Specialist are AMAZING

 

At St. Mary's Catholic School, we LOVE our media center and specialist, Autumn Nelson. With lots of computers, Smartboards in every class, iPads, and 12,000 library books (9,600 titles), we're able to offer the resources and technology to build the skills students need to succeed in high school, college and beyond.

In addition, we help develop proper online etiquette and safety skills.  Check out a few facts below.

  • Students using iPads saw a 20% increase in math test scores in one year vs. those using traditional textbooks .

  • An iPad game, Motion Math, boosted math test scores of 5th graders who regularly played the game for 20 minutes per day over a 5-day period by 15% on average.

 

 

  • Smart Boards are easy-to-use, interactive tools that let students and teachers collaborate and show their work real-time
