Stacy Meyer Scholarship Fund

The Stacy Meyer Scholarship Fund was started in memory of Stacy, a former St. Mary’s Catholic School parent, who passed away in a motor vehicle accident in May of 2019 at the age of 51. Stacy consistently and tirelessly worked hard to make the world a better place. She filled every day with joy and spread love to everyone around her. Stacy truly listened to others, opened doors to anyone needing a friend, and radiated love and compassion. Everyone who came in contact with her came away feeling uplifted and appreciated.

This fund has been started with the generous gifts of Stacy’s family, friends, and community members who were touched by Stacy’s giving nature. St. Mary’s Catholic School thanks these donors who have chosen to support our school in Stacy’s memory.

St. Mary’s Catholic School exists to serve our local Catholic community. We recognize, however, that for some families today, the prospect of a solid Catholic education for their children is a dream that seems financially unattainable.

At St. Mary’s Catholic School, we work very hard to ensure that we are good stewards of the gifts we receive. We continuously evaluate how we spend our money to reduce waste. However, we also understand that despite our best efforts to keep our tuition and fees as low as possible, some families still find these too difficult to afford.

For this reason, we offer financial assistance to families who qualify through the Stacy Meyer Scholarship Fund. Assistance is available for students in grades Pre-K through 6th grade.  Both financial and family circumstances are taken into account when making financial assistance awards.

Applications for financial assistance are due no later than May 15th each year, to be awarded for the following school year.  Families will be notified of any awards by June 1st.

Financial Assistance Process:

To be considered for financial assistance, families must first complete and submit their application to the principal of St. Mary’s Catholic School.

  1. This assistance is for tuition primarily, but other fees and expenses incurred by students such as after school care, field trips, etc. will be considered as well.

  2. A letter or a phone call will be used to notify families of any awards.

  3. Stacy believed in helping others; the best way to show your appreciation for this award will be to complete an Act of Kindness in memory of Stacy.

St. Mary’s Catholic School’s goal is to make sure that Catholic education is affordable for all families. We will do our best to work with each family to create a payment plan that works.
